The Seed of God’s Word

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
John 12:24 KJV

We have heard it said several times that the word of God is a seed and that it also works as a seed when received into the fertile ground of our hearts. Every seed has within itself the life of that seed and as long as it is not planted into a fertile field, it remains a single seed and incapable of nourishing  others. Here in John 12:24, Jesus tells us how the transmission takes place. He said the seed of God’s word which we received will die after it has transmitted its life to the ground of our heart and depending on the type of ground we each have, our hearts will produce 100 fold or less
